An important note, network marketing and traditional business are polar opposites. Traditional business is typically all about you what you can manage and produce. However, in network marketing it is about duplication, teaching people to teach people to teach people, it’s not about you. As a professional in this industry your focus is on mentoring and helping others reach their goals.


Develop Yourself

This principle cannot be understated because this principal is critical to your belief system.  You must believe in network marketing, your company, your products and most importantly yourself to build a business.  A lack of belief in any of these categories will negatively affect the results of your business.

To become more you must learn more. Find a few mentors that you resonate with and make it a part of your daily routine and then move into action, your daily activity, to meet your goals for your business.


Be Committed

You need to have a roadmap of where you want to go, then you need to plot your course based on your abilities.

Set short term obtainable goals and reward yourself for each victory.

I believe this principle is sometimes overlooked because of fear of approaching those who we perceive as more successful than ourselves.


Lead By Example

This principle is true to any industry.  If we want to grow a solid business you must demonstrate all the principals and generate your own personal results by showing the team it is possible.  Give hope to others who aspire of building a solid network marketing business. This principle can be uncomfortable for most of us, however, the personal rewards on the other side of this fear are priceless

The Right Mix

You need the right list of ingredients. The products must be unique, priced reasonably and consumable. You need a system that’s easy to follow, simplistic, duplicable and perfected.

Timing is important.  A company must be far enough along financially but has not hit critical mass or momentum.  And lastly, the compensation plan must be fair and balanced  – one that rewards the entire team.

And being a little vulnerable, leading, is what network marketing is all about.
